The Updowntowners of Syracuse, Inc. is an organization comprised of individuals dedicated to promoting the social and economic growth of downtown Syracuse. The common bond among all Updowntowners is their desire to make Downtown Syracuse a vibrant and exciting place to live, work and shop.

Award presented to the Samaritan Center
May 12, 2010The Updowntowners of Syracuse proudly presented their 2009 Downtown Award for Excellence to The Samaritan Center which focuses on one of the most important problems in our country. For 29 years they have been meeting the needs of the people of our community by providing 200 - 300 meals a day to men, women, and children. The center does this with donations and 400 volunteers a month all the while ensuring an atmosphere of respect and security.
